So, I was recently working a wedding and I got to thinking about being an attendant for the photo booth. I, of course, want to give my clients “The Best Service” I can, so I am constantly straightening up the prop table, smiling, not on my phone, helping the guests and if they have a scrapbook, helping them with that. When I was at a wedding expo and was taking a little break, I was walking around and noticed some other attendants. They were on their phone or standing in the back of their booth not interacting with the brides to be. I thought, “Geesh, don’t they want business?” Being an attendant is very important. You can either make or break an event.

Hey there. I just wanted to write to remind you that when you are planning your wedding, it is YOUR wedding. I know you have probably been to a lot of other wedding, but this is YOUR wedding. Have it like you want it! Have the colors you want! Pick the dress YOU like! Pick the venue YOU like!
I love Pintrist just as much as the next person, but let me tell you, that can drive you crazy!! There are soooooo many ideas and ways to do things that it will drive you mad. Do what you want! Do what you like! If you don’t have time to make something,….. just buy it!! (mic drop)… lol
So summertime is around the corner. What does a photo booth focus on in the summer time? Well, with the end of school coming up,, PROM for sure. AND graduation parties. If you know of one, I’m here to help. Also some fun summertime things are family reunions. They are alot of fun to have a photo booth at. Some nice fun pictures of you and grandma with Uncle Jack…. so much fun. Anywho, just a few thoughts for today. And once again when picking out a photo booth, make sure you jive with the attendant, you like the look of the their booth, they are insured ( i am) and they have some cool props you like… Smile on!!!
How do you choose a photo booth? Well, this is a good question. The first thing I would do is experience the booth and all that it has to offer. Do they have good props you like? Is the process easy to understand on how to take a picture? What is the quality of the photo that prints out? Did you have to wait a long time for the photo? Does the company have insurance? Did you get along with the attendant? Were they nice and pleasant?
These are just a few things you should think about when looking for a photo booth. Don’t be swayed by price!!! You want professional right???? Sometimes you won’t get professional with a lower price. Even a Groupon!! It might sound great, but they may not show up to your wedding. I’ve had several calls this past year for photo booths not showing up for an event that they had a groupon on. Geesh, I couldn’t image dong that to a bride!!
I know there is a lot to think about, but it is worth it. A good insured photo booth will make your reception even more fun!!
Valentine’s Day is a great time to have a photo booth. Either it be for a school, daddy/daughter dance, neighborhood event or your own personal party. The photo booth will keep your guests entertained with pictures and memories to last a lifetime.
So, there are a lot of outside “Barn” type venues popping up around Raleigh. In my opinion, I love them. They all have a little something different from each other. Outside venues also give kids a lot more running around room. I ran into that this past weekend. I was at Cedar Grove Acres in Creedmoor, NC and there were a good handful of kids there. They had a bon fire going on and a dj and myself to keep everybody occupied and having fun. The kids all ran around, took pictures, hung by the fire and danced. It was fun night that was had by all. I would recommend these outside venues, especially with the nice weather upon us. But, always have a backup plan in case of rain!!
I’m still so excited about my open booth. I went yesterday to my parents house and I sewed with my mom some awesome backdrops for the Open Booth. She showed me how to use the sewing machine and I rocked it. I’ll have a blue, gray, black, purple, champagne, white and red backdrops to choose from. Yea!!! so excited!!
So this past week I invested in another piece of equipment for my photo booth. It is a stand alone kiosk with them monitor, light and camera all in it. I LOVE IT!!! I can still use the booth, if a bride wants some privacy, BUT I can do open booths too. Since a lot of my brides are young, (in the “selfie” generation), the like the open booth style. It provides great entertainment for the other guests who are watching along. This is new to me and I love it too.
Hey y’all. I’ve been part of the photo booth community for a while now (5 years) and other photo booth companies shy away from school and kid events. I love them myself!! I am a teacher, so kids don’t bother me at all. I just give them the “mom” or “teacher” look and they straighten up. Usually all I have to deal with are when they leave their props inside the booth. I have to go back and grab them and hang them back up. No big deal. Kids are awesome and a big part of my business. So I say “Bring It On”, the birthdays AND school events!!
